Our Vision
Our vision is to see faith communities and neighborhood residents brought together as God’s beloved community.
Through transformative relationships with one another, we experience God’s love and the power of the gospel to heal from individual and systemic brokenness and make our city new.
Our primary work takes place within the Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood in Cleveland. We strive to make our neighbors feel seen, known, and loved by uplifting the community.
About
New City Cleveland began in 2017 from the hearts and experiences of Justin and Leah Ross. It first began as an outreach of Heights Presbyterian Church. In 2021, New City became an independent non-profit to pursue partnerships with local churches and foundations for increased investment in Buckeye-Woodhill.
We believe that joy and flourishing are possible for every neighbor. Every neighbor has inherent dignity and value. Every neighbor can offer their gifts and skills to our community. Every street in Buckeye-Woodhill has beauty to showcase and stories to tell.
We believe in the vision of a beautiful community. We are a place where relationships across all lines of difference can be cultivated. We look for the love of God to show up in unexpected ways, through unexpected people in unexpected places.
We believe in the power of reconciliation. The message of gospel reconciliation is most clearly displayed, not just in a church on Sunday, but in interactions of hope every day.
